How does the registration process work?

To register for a free Equip-IT account, go to http://equipit.hrwallingford.com/account/my-account#register and complete the registration form. You will first receive an email to acknowledge receipt of your request. We will then email your username and a link to set up your password to the email address provided. We will send your registration details as soon as possible. At busy times, this may take up to 2 working days.

How long does it take to get my account ready?

Registration is not automatic and is subject to confirmation by a member of the Equip-IT team. We will send your registration details to the address you've registered with as soon as possible but at busy times, this may take up to 2 working days.

I went through the registration process on the site but did not receive an acknowledgement email. How can I verify my account?

On rare occasions the acknowledgement email that we send to you might drop into your spam/junk email folder by mistake. Please check this folder in your email account.

What are the benefits of registering for an Equip-IT account?

If you register for a free Equip-IT account, you will be able to:

  • see pricing information for all products
  • manage your quotations and track order progress
  • store your contact and delivery information for easy check out
  • use the ‘Add to shortlist’ feature to make reordering simple

What details do I need to register with?

To register for an Equip-IT account, you only need to supply us with your full name, company or organisation name, email address and your preferred currency. Prices, quotations and invoices will then be displayed in this currency.

Delivery and returns

Can I receive a certificate of inspection with my equipment?

Equipment is inspected by a member of our team at the time it is being packed. If you require a certificate of inspection, please let us know when placing your order or inform us as soon as possible by email at equipment@hrwallingford.com.

What do I need to do to return damaged goods?

Please inform us in writing within 3 days of the date of delivery if the equipment has been damaged in transit. After this time, repair or replacement of the equipment that has been damaged in transit may incur a cost. See also ‘Support and warranty’ section below.

When can I expect my equipment to be delivered?

Most of our equipment is custom-built and therefore we cannot give you a delivery date at the time the order or quotation is placed. We will review your order and inform you by email when your orders will be ready to be dispatched.

Support and warranty

How can I get my equipment repaired?

We will repair free of charge any equipment which fails within 1 year of the date of delivery, provided that it was used correctly. You will however bear the costs for packing, freight and insurance.

If equipment is older than a year, please contact us to discuss your requirements and to arrange for a quotation.

How can I get technical support?

Contact us directly by email or call our Equip-IT store manager on +44 (0)1491 822 896, who will direct you to the right technical person.

Quotations, invoices and payment

How can I cancel an order?

Many of our products are built to order and tailored to your requirements. You can cancel your order(s) anytime up to 14 working days after the invoice date by contacting us on equipment@hrwallingford.com.

If you wish to cancel your orders after this time, you will be only be refunded 50% of the total of the invoice.

How can I turn a quotation into an order?

When you would like to turn your quotation into an order, just send us an email at equipment@hrwallingford.com and our store manager will prepare your invoice for you. Your invoice will then be sent by email and will also be available for download in pdf from your account.

How long are quotations valid for?

Our quotations are valid for a period of 90 days from the quotation date.

How safe are my personal details and credit card information?

Secure on-line payments are made directly through WorldPay (a Royal Bank of Scotland company). To enable WorldPay to provide secure payment facilities you will be required to supply your name, your credit or debit card number (with the expiry date) your e-mail and billing addresses, and (where applicable) the delivery address. Transmission of sensitive information (such as a credit card number) over the internet is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. HR Wallingford does not have access to your financial details nor do we take credit card information over the phone, by fax or by e-mail.

If I raise a quotation, will I have an obligation to purchase?

No, you don’t have any obligation to purchase. All quotations are with no obligation to purchase. Once you've raised a quotation, you will be contacted by a member of the Equip-IT to check that your quotation best suits your requirements and to confirm the exact shipping costs.

What payment methods do you accept?

Our website lets you:

  • request a quotation (with no obligation to purchase). A quotation can then be turned into an invoice by contacting us at equipment@hrwallingford.com.
  • pay directly by credit card using our secured-payment provider RBS World Pay. Online payment by credit card are only possible for orders of less than £1 000.00 (or equivalent in other currencies) and that contain less than 1 item.
Alternatives to credit card payment or how to pay an invoice

As an alternative to paying online by credit card, we accept payment by cheque (in £ only, made payable to HR Wallingford Ltd) or by BACS.

Why does my quotation not include shipping costs?

If your quotation does not include shipping costs, it means that it is incomplete. If your quotation is above £1 000.00 (or equivalent in other currencies) or if it includes more than 1 piece of equipment, we will contact you to confirm shipping costs.

Will my quotation be reviewed by a member of the Equip-IT team?

Yes, all quotations raised on this website are reviewed by a member of the Equip-IT team. We will always contact you to check that your quotation best suits your requirements and confirm the exact shipping costs. You can then decide at any time to turn your quotation into an official order by completing the Contact us form.
